Sardis Park
March 24th 2010
We always like to stop in at Sardis Park to take a quick walk around the pond.
A Northwestern Crow spent time enjoying a walnut.
Cackling and Canada Geese were on the pond.
Pied-billed Grebes paddled along and called to each other.
Mallards enjoyed the calm waters.
The little Lesser Scaups were still visiting the pond.
The Northern Shovelers were also still there.
An Amazing amount of Turtles have come out of hibernation to sit on logs; the native Painted Turtles and the introduced Red-eared Sliders were present.
A few American Wigeon were still visiting.
There were Bufflehead Ducks as well.
There were still quite a few American Coots visiting as well.
There was a lovely Magnolia Tree in full bloom.
