Sardis Park
October 7th & 8th 2010

We took a couple of walks at Sardis Park over the last two days.

American Coots were grazing on underwater plants.

Canada and Cackling Geese were found on the pond.

The family of five Greater White-fronted Geese were there as well.

Pied-billed Grebes were found diving together.

Mallards are an easy photographic subject at Sardis Park.

The Toulouse Goose was ready to pose for a photo on both days.

A Great Blue Heron was busy preening and fluffing itself on a log near the South end of the pond.

The trees are really beginning to show their autumn colours.
