Sardis Park
October 13th to 18th 2010

We took a few walks at Sardis Park over the last few days and enjoyed the lovely autumn colours in the trees. The colours as vibrant as they were became brilliant reflections in the water.

American Coots spent time motoring around the pond.

Pied-billed Grebes also spent time enjoying each other’s company. Occasionally, they would burst into a giggling vocalization to each other.

A few Ring-necked Ducks were present.

The Toulouse Goose was present as usual.

A Great Blue Heron flew across the pond one morning.

A Green Heron was seen on a few days. Once he was seen in a few shrubs near the far edge of the pond, another time flying across the pond and another time on one of the logs in the pond.
