August 4th & 5th 2013
We always find something to take photos of while we are on our daily walks at the Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve.
Beavers were gathering grass for their den and enjoying a snack of lily roots.
A small flock of tiny Bushtits were seen.
A Green Heron was seen at the edge of a bank.
Great Blue Herons were seen as usual.
A Belted Kingfisher was seen for a moment.
A Spotted Sandpiper was seen on some logs in the distance.
A Juvenile Common Yellowthroat was hunting for insects.
We enjoyed chatting with Bill, Jenny, Jon, Mary, Bene, Frank and David on the trails.
