September, 2014

September 9th to 30th 2014
Harrison

We have taken a few drives to Harrison Lake this month.

We found several Killdeers one morning.

White-crowned Sparrows were seen the same day.

A Western Grebe was fishing near the boat launch one morning.

A Yellow-rumped Warbler was seen one morning.

A few Dark-eyed Juncos have been seen.

We found several Savannah Sparrows at the lagoon dike.

Vesper Sparrows were found early in the month.

One morning, we thought we weren’t going to find anything when a Horned Lark hopped out of the shrubs on the dike path and proceeded to forage in the sand in front of us.

We enjoyed a nice chat with Marion and Larry while we were there one morning.
