We enjoyed our usual walks at the Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve in Chilliwack, B.C., Canada.
The snow has finally gone and there are a few Great Blue Herons hanging around the area.
Buffleheads were seen in a few areas.
Male and female Common Mergansers were seen on the lagoon.
Double-crested Cormorants were seen along the way.

Two female Downy Woodpeckers competed for territory with a lot of tail fanning and head movements.
A young Bald Eagle was seen perched in a tree while the resident Bald Eagles stayed near their nest. one of the resident Bald Eagles grabbed a couple of pieces of sod for its nest.
A male Northern Red-shafted Flicker was seen on a stump.
Pied-billed Grebes were seen together.
A few male Green-winged Teal were seen.
Great Blue Herons were seen in a few areas.
Dark-eyed Juncos were seen every day.
Mallards were seen in large numbers.
A Peregrine Falcon was seen in the distance.
A male Purple Finch perched on a branch near the Salwein Creek.
A Song Sparrow found a patch of sun to enjoy.
Trumpeter Swans flew overhead.
American Wigeons were seen at the East Bird Blind.
Several Wood Ducks were seen.
