February 12th & 13th 2017

We enjoyed our usual walks at the Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve in Chilliwack, British Columbia, Canada.

A flock of Bushtits were busy finding insects along the edge of the trail.

Common Mergansers were pair bonding.

Double-crested Cormorants were seen as usual.

Gadwalls were seen as well.

American Wigeon were gathered on ice on the lagoon.

Golden-crowned Sparrows were seen in many areas.

A small Hawk was watching from a tree.

Great Blue Herons were seen in many areas.

House Finches were curious about us.

Red-winged Blackbirds were seen in a few areas.

Song Sparrows were seen in many areas.

Spotted Towhees were seen in large numbers in many areas.

We enjoyed chatting with Jean S. and Mair at the Rotary Interpretive Centre Gift Shop and Arnie at the parking lot.
