March 17th & 18th 2017

We enjoyed two more of our usual walks at the Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve in Chilliwack, British Columbia, Canada.

Click below to see some daily sightings.

A male Common Merganser was sleeping on a log across from the Rotary Interpretive Centre when we arrived.

A female Bufflehead was seen nearby.

Gadwalls were seen in the slough.

Canada Geese were protecting their nesting territory.

The Great Blue Herons were extremely busy with nesting.

American Robins were seen in several spots.

Wood Ducks were seen as well.

A little male American Kestrel was seen along the way.

March 17 Cloudy 39F (3.8C)
March 18 Heavy Rain 39F (3.8C)

We enjoyed talking to Janet, Karen, Hazel and Cameron doing a bird count for the Great Blue Heron Nature Society as well as Connie Snow on the trails.
