April 19, 2017

We took our usual walk at the Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve in Chilliwack, British Columbia, Canada.

The Cinnamon Teals were there again this morning.

The Canada Goose showed us one of her eggs.

Grape Hyacinths were blooming at the side of a trail.

Great Blue Herons were seen in many areas near the Heronry.

The Ospreys were gathering muddy clumps of old corn roots and moss for their nest.

Song Sparrows were singing.

Violet-green Swallows and Tree Swallows were seen at the far end of the road past the Heronry.

Male Common Yellowthroats were seen and heard along the way.

Weather
April 19 Cloudy 44F (6.6C)

We enjoyed talking to Werner, Cathy with Tula, Alyson with Chesney, Brenda with Finnegan, Liz with Boomer, Michelle and Gizelle with Parker, as well as Jenny and Bill on the trails.
