April 23, 2017

We enjoyed our usual walk at the Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve in Chilliwack, British Columbia, Canada.

Great Blue Herons were working on their nests at the Heronry.

Elderberry flowers are starting to bloom.

The Ospreys are working on their nest, one landed quite close to us.

A few Cottontail Rabbits were seen.

We got a record shot of 2 Western Sandpipers and 7 Least Sandpipers in a puddle which we want to thank Gord Gadsden for help with the identification of them.

A few Northern Rough-winged Swallows and Tree Swallows were seen.

A little Muskrat was seen enjoying breakfast.

Wood Ducks were seen in many areas.

Weather
April 23 Cloudy 47F (8.3C)

We enjoyed seeing Terry with Bogey, Charlie with Jack, Kristen with Kona, Werner, as well as Randy with Chesney on the trails.
