May 22nd & 23rd 2017

We had our usual walk at the Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve in Chilliwack, British Columbia, Canada.

Black-capped Chickadees were feeding fledglings.

Canada Geese were seen, some with larger goslings.

Great Blue Herons were busy getting food for the chicks at the Heronry.

Mallards were seen with ducklings in a few areas.

American Robins were seen in several spots.

Tree Swallows were seen along the way.

Cedar Waxwings were seen in good numbers.

Common Yellowthroats were seen along the trails.

Yellow Warblers were seen as well.

A Savannah Sparrow sang from a post at the Lickman Dike Road.

We enjoyed talking to Charlie with Jack, Terry with Bogey, Alyson with Chesney, Susan and Ulla, Liz and Gord with Boomer, Paul with Scout, Sharon and Steve from NZ, Denise with Summer, Deb K., Mary and Wilma, Leona, Cathy with Tula, Elan with Lady, as well as Penny on the trails.
