We enjoyed our usual walk at the Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve in Chilliwack, British Columbia, Canada.
Clematis are blooming on the fence at the parking lot.
Beavers were seen along the way.
The young fledgling Bald Eagle chick flew into view and landed on a couple of different snags as we walked along.
A Northern Flicker was seen.
Eastern Kingbirds were gathering food and chasing off any interlopers to the territory. We managed to get photos of its reaction to a Downy Woodpecker.
The Osprey family is doing well, the adults were snapping branches off trees for the nest.
We saw a couple of Savannah Sparrows near the Osprey’s nest.
A Common Yellowthroat was seen on a Tansy flower looking for insects.
When we were leaving the American Kestrel family showed up near the entrance gate and posed for us again.
July 16 Cloudy with Sunny breaks 56F (13.3C) Afternoon 75F (23.8C)
