July 28th to 31st 2017

We enjoyed our walks at the Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve in Chilliwack, British Columbia, Canada.

We saw the American Kestrel family on the 31st near the entrance gate.

The Ospreys were doing well at their nest.

A few juvenile Northwestern Crows were seen.

A Northern Flicker was seen nearby.

A Spotted Sandpiper was seen on the far side of the slough past the Heronry.

European Starlings were seen along the way.

A Rufous Hummingbird stopped for a moment in a Red Osier Dogwood.

Several American Robins were seen.

Cedar Waxwings were seen as well.

A few Yellow Warblers were seen in several areas.

A few Wood Ducks and ducklings were seen as well.

Beavers were seen doing their usual Beaver chores.

We enjoyed talking to Charlie with Jack, Terry with Bogey, Leona and Werner, Brenda with Finnegan, Linda with Marley, Jill and Scott with Manny, Alyson with Chesney, as well as Graham on the trails. We also stopped in at the Rotary Interpretive Centre Gift Shop and had a nice visit with Gordon, Dick and Yvonne.
