September 17th to 21st 2017

We enjoyed our usual walks at the Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve in Chilliwack, British Columbia, Canada.

Pied-billed Grebes were seen in several areas.

Northern Flickers were seen as well.

Great Blue Herons were seen as usual.

A Beaver was seen one dark morning.

A little Muskrat was seen as well.

A female Belted Kingfisher was on her favourite perch.

Lincoln’s Sparrows were seen every day.

Large flocks of Mallards were seen.

Orange-crowned Warblers were seen every day.

Two Northern Pintails were seen in the slough.

American Robins were seen.

Northern Shovelers were seen flying into the South Lagoon.

Song Sparrows were seen as usual.

Warbling Vireos were seen near the entrance gate.

White-crowned Sparrows were seen in many areas.

An American Wigeon was seen along the way.

Wood Ducks were seen as usual.

Yellow Warblers were seen.

Yellow-rumped Warblers were seen.

We enjoyed seeing Charlie with Jack, Terry with Bogey, Brenda with Finnegan, Sue, Leona and Werner, John Larsen, Alyson and Randy with Chesney, Wilma and Mary, Caroline and Diane with Keesha, Doug, Elan with Lady, Doug from Greendale Herb & Vine, Casey with Ula, as well as Michelle with Lacy on the trails.
