The colours were beautiful wherever we walked today, at the Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve, in Chilliwack, B.C., Canada.

A Great Blue Heron was seen near the Rotary Interpretive Centre fishing at the water’s edge.

Fox Sparrows were seen in several areas.

Golden-crowned Sparrows were also seen.

Pied-billed Grebes are a favourite bird of ours.

Dozens of Mallards were seen, a Hooded Merganser joined some of them on a log.

A mixed flock of Canada Geese and Cackling Geese was seen in the farm field near the Heronry.

Ring-necked Ducks were seen near the East Bird Blind.

Pine Siskins were seen along the trails.

Spotted Towhees were also seen.

American Wigeons were seen in many areas.

Wood Ducks were seen as usual.
