We enjoyed our usual walks at the Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve in Chilliwack, British Columbia, Canada.
We saw a few Beavers during our walks.
A very large mixed flock of geese contained Canada Geese, Cackling Geese, Greater White-fronted Geese and Snow Geese.
A small Hawk flew past one day.
Brown Creepers were seen on tree trunks.
The resident Bald Eagles were seen. One of the marsh resident Bald Eagles was checking out the Osprey’s nest.
A Hybrid Northern Flicker was seen on a broken Birch tree branch.
A young male Green-winged Teal was seen.
Ring-necked Ducks were seen.
A Great Blue Heron was seen fishing in the slough.
Dark-eyed Juncos were seen.
American Kestrels were seen in the distance.
Trees at the edges of the lagoons were beautifully coloured.
Song Sparrows were seen enjoying Tansy seeds.
An American Robin was seen.
Large flocks of Mallards were seen, some were having altercations. The slough was full of Mallards and Wood Ducks.
A male Pileated Woodpecker was seen.

We enjoyed seeing Kathy with Tula, Charlie with Jack, Alyson and Randy with Chesney, Jill and Scott with Manny, Marilyn and Karl birding, Lucy with Blondie and Jake, Jenny and Bill, Brenda with Finnegan, Warner, Elan with Lady, Mary and Wilma, Frank and Corrie during our walks. We also enjoyed visiting with Valerie, Barb S. and Dick K. in the Rotary Interpretive Centre Gift Shop.
