White-winged Crossbill

We enjoyed our usual walk at the Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve in Chilliwack, British Columbia, Canada.

We were fortunate enough to find a small flock of 10 White-winged Crossbills feeding in Alder trees near the Rotary Interpretive Centre this morning. Although it was extremely cold for us, we managed to get some photographs of them before we got too cold, so we left them to enjoy the seeds in the Alders while we went home to thaw out.
