We enjoyed our usual walks at the Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve in Chilliwack, British Columbia, Canada.
The volunteers have feeders set up at the Rotary Interpretive Centre where Anna’s Hummingbirds can be found.
Purple Finches enjoy the seed feeders.
It has been a good year for finding Common Redpolls and Pine Siskins enjoying the seeds of Alder Trees.
Little Bush Tits were seen from the East Bird Blind.
Golden-crowned Sparrows were seen nearby.
Downy Woodpeckers were seen in the underbrush.
Nearby a female Hairy Woodpecker searched for food.
A Great Blue Heron perched in a tree.
A Red-tailed Hawk flew past in the distance.
Female Ring-necked Ducks paddled past the East Bird Blind.
We saw a male Eurasian Wigeon keeping company with several American Wigeon on the South Lagoon.
Green-winged Teal and Mallards were seen at the East Bird Blind.
Hooded Mergansers paddled along in the lagoons.

We enjoyed chatting with Reg, Sandra with Elsa, Shadow and Jasmine, Denise with Summer, Doug from Greendale Herb & Vine, Alyson with Chesney, Graham, Tanya and Rick, Brenda with Finnegan, as well as Crystal with Bailey on the trails. We also stopped in at the Rotary Interpretive Centre Gift Shop for a nice visit with Billie.
