We enjoyed our usual walk at the Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve in Chilliwack, British Columbia, Canada.

Double-crested Cormorants were seen as usual.

Gadwalls were seen in several areas.

Buffleheads paddled past.

A Common Goldeneye was seen

Green-winged Teal were seen.

Hooded Mergansers were also seen.

Mallards are always seen.

Ring-necked Ducks were seen.

Song Sparrows were seen in several areas.

Trumpeter Swans flew past toward open fields to “graze”.

A male Pileated Woodpecker found a snag to look for sleeping insects.

Weather

We enjoyed seeing Charlie with Jack, Brenda with Finnegan, Alyson with Chesney, Sandra with Jasmine, Shadow and Elsa, Bill and Jenny as well as Penny on the trails.
