We enjoyed our usual walk at the Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve in Chilliwack, British Columbia, Canada.
Common Mergansers floated along on the North Lagoon.
Double-crested Cormorants argued over logs to perch on.

A young Bald Eagle was seen near the Heronry.
Northern Flickers were seen in the Salwein Creek Loop.
Fox Sparrows were also along the trail in the Salwein Creek Loop.
Pied-billed Grebes were seen together on the North Lagoon.
We watched a female Hairy Woodpecker working on a couple of trees in the Salwein Creek forest.
House Finches and Spotted Towhees were seen in Blackberries.

We enjoyed chatting with Janet doing a bird count for the Great Blue Heron Nature Society, Leona, as well as Christa on the trails. We also enjoyed a chat with Fred while he was filling the bird feeders at the Rotary Interpretive Centre.
