We enjoyed our usual walk at the Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve in Chilliwack, British Columbia, Canada.
A lone Double-crested Cormorant stood on a log.
One lone Great Blue Heron was seen near the East Bird Blind.
Steller’s Jay were seen near the East Bird Blind.
Spotted Towhees were seen nearby.
Osoberry shrubs are beginning to show leaves and flower buds.
Ring-necked Ducks were seen in a few areas.
Green-winged Teal were seen sleeping on a log.
Hooded Mergansers were seen near the Heronry.
A Common Goldeneye was seen near the Heronry.
Wood Ducks were seen in the water, on logs, in trees and on snags. At one point, they were trying to see how many of them would fit on one snag.

We enjoyed talking to Charlie with Jack, as well as Liz and Gordon with Boomer on the trails and enjoyed chatting with Valerie, Barb and Mike in the Rotary Interpretive Centre Gift Shop.
