We enjoyed our usual walk at the Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve in Chilliwack, British Columbia, Canada.

When we arrived at the parking lot a young Bald Eagle flew overhead.

Northern Flickers were seen doing territorial displays.

A Common Goldeneye was seen near the Heronry.

The Heronry was quite active.

We were lucky to find a male and female American Kestrel spending time perched near each other. The little male left for a few moments to gather some grit on a driveway before returning to his mate.

Wood Ducks were seen as usual.

March 09 Cloudy 40F (4.4C) Afternoon 51.8F (11C)

We enjoyed talking to Leona, Frank, Charlie with Jack, Elan with Lady, Denise with Summer as well as Alyson with Chesney on the trails.
