We enjoyed our usual walks at the Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve in Chilliwack, British Columbia, Canada.
Red-winged Blackbirds were performing in the trees along the trails.
The large flocks of Cackling Geese are getting ready to return to the north for the summer.
Northern Flickers were still actively acting out their territorial dances.
Great Blue Herons were busy at the Heronry.
An Anna’s Hummingbird paused for a moment at the edge of a trail.
Dark-eyed Juncos will be leaving soon for their nesting grounds.
We came across American Kestrels again this morning.
Our first Tree Swallows were seen this morning.
A Song Sparrow sang from a windy perch.
Spotted Towhees were seen as well.
Wood Ducks were checking out spots for nests.

We enjoyed talking to Frank, Paul, Camille, Kathy with Tula and Rona, Charlie with Jack, Rick, Sam and Eunice from Langley Camera Club, Graham, Alyson and Randy with Chesney, John L., Leona as well as Fred on the trails.
