While we were walking, we came across a “Coydog” or Coyote crossed with a domestic dog. There are several generations of them in the area. When we first noticed him, he was pulling quite a large log out of the water and hauling it up onto the bank. He was carefully watched by the Canada Geese and Mallards in the water nearby. Later, he busied himself wandering along looking for something of interest. We finally left him when he sat down for a rest to survey his surroundings.
