July 17th & 18th 2018
We enjoyed our usual walks at the Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve in Chilliwack, British Columbia, Canada.
Northwestern Crows with fledglings were seen near the entrance.
A Beaver had one of her kits out today. She was pushing it along the slough for awhile. Then she stopped for a moment to nuzzle with it. They seemed to be enjoying the time together. The little one was swimming with her and learning the area.
The fledgling Bald Eagle from the Heronry Bald Eagle nest was visiting another empty Great Blue Heron nest.

A Belted Kingfisher was seen near the Osprey nest.
The Ospreys were seen but they have not done much with their nest.
A fledgling Song Sparrow stopped to watch us walk by.
Willow Flycatchers were seen along the trail.
