September 22, 2018

We enjoyed our usual walk at the Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve in Chilliwack, British Columbia, Canada.

It is the first day of Autumn with White-crowned Sparrows moving through the area.

Song Sparrows were on alert to see what birds were in their territory.

Many Wood Ducks were seen along the way.

Pied-billed Grebes were seen in a few areas.

Mallards are usually seen.

A Beaver was seen on the shoreline enjoying a snack of Smartweed.

Weather
September 22 Heavy Rain 56F (13C) Afternoon 64F (18C)

We enjoyed seeing Alyson and Randy with Chesney, Christa, Brian D. on the trails and Dick in the Rotary Interpretive Centre Gift Shop.
