We enjoyed our usual walk at the Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve in Chilliwack, British Columbia, Canada.

We were near the Heronry when Bruce noticed a female Bobcat with two kittens about six or seven months old. One of the kittens was with the mother while the other was not far away on a log. The little one on the log looked quite wet as if it had been chasing ducks. Soon, the mother and kitten jumped from the upper log onto the log where the other kitten had been. The adult then jumped to a higher log and took her time wandering across it. Soon after they were first seen, they all disappeared into the trees of the Heronry.

Wood Ducks,Green-winged Teal and Mallards were seen nearby.

A Peregrine was perched high in a snag watching the ducks in the slough.

American Wigeons and Ring-necked Ducks were seen on the South Lagoon.

Hooded Mergansers were seen on the North Lagoon.
