October 28, 2018

We enjoyed our usual walk at the Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve in Chilliwack, British Columbia, Canada.

There were quite a few Canada Geese seen as we wandered the trails.

Pied-billed Grebes were seen in a few areas.

Green-winged Teal and Mallards were also seen in a few areas.

A surprise was Red-eared Slider Turtle seen on a log in the slough.

Most interesting for us was nine Wilson’s Snipe at the marshy area at the far end of the road past the Heronry.

October 28 Clear 51F (11C) Afternoon 52F (11C)

We enjoyed seeing Denise with Summer, Ben from Abbotsford, Margo and Wes with Cruz and Penelope, Graeme and Christian, Christa on the trails.
