We enjoyed our usual walk at the Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve in Chilliwack, British Columbia, Canada.
The activity at the Heronry is in full swing, with Great Blue Herons bringing sticks to repair or build nests. The sounds emanating from the area bring spring to life a little early.
Bush Tits were seen along the trail.
Golden-crowned Sparrows were in the parking lot.
A Canada Goose was checking out a nest site in the marsh.
American Robins peered at us as we wandered along.
The first Tree Swallows of the season were busy in a few areas.
American Wigeon were enjoying a bit of sun.
Wood Ducks were checking out spots in snags for nests.
March 16 Sun/Part Cloud 38F (03C) Afternoon 71F ( 22C)
