Blaine Wa.
Waterfowl

While enjoying our walk along the beach in Blaine, Washington, we saw several species of waterfowl.

A White-winged Scoter was resting on a floating dock.

Nearby, Surf Scoters were seen in the water and resting on the dock.

A female Greater Scaup was looking for food in the water in the same area.

Harlequin Ducks were seen resting on the dock and logs. Every so often, the males would get into the water and perform for the females.

Common Loons were seen from the public pier.
