July 18th & 19th 2019

We enjoyed our usual walks at the Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve in Chilliwack, British Columbia, Canada.

A Beaver paddled past towing a few Water Lily leaves.

A Black-headed Grosbeak enjoyed Red-Osier Dogwood berries.

A few Willow Flycatchers were seen.

An American Goldfinch was seen nearby.

A Pied-billed Grebe was seen along the way.

A female Belted Kingfisher was seen as well.

Mallards were following each other in a well organized row.

A few Orange-crowned Warblers were seen.

American Robins were also seen.

A Spotted Sandpiper was seen near the Heronry.

Juvenile Song Sparrows were seen.

Juvenile Swainson’s Thrushes were also seen.

Cedar Waxwings were seen in a few areas.

Wood Ducks were seen as well.

We took a walk along the Lickman Dike Road.

Chicory flowers had Bumblebees visiting them.

Common Yellowthroats were looking after their young.

It was nice to see Charlie with Jack, Alyson with Chesney, Jock with Hunter, Leona and Warner, Liz and Gordon with Boomer during our walks.
