August 19th to 21st 2019

We enjoyed our usual walks at the Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve in Chilliwack, British Columbia, Canada.

Beavers were seen on two days.

A Downy Woodpecker was seen one morning.

A Northern Flicker was also seen.

Pied-billed Grebes were seen near the Heronry.

A Willow Flycatcher was seen.

Great Blue Herons were seen every day.

Lincoln’s Sparrows were seen every day.

Orange-crowned Warblers were seen on two days.

Red-eyed Vireos were seen one morning.

Warbling Vireos were also seen.

Cedar Waxwings were seen with newly fledged juveniles near the Main Bridge.

Western Tanagers were seen on a couple of days.

Spotted Towhees were seen most days.

Wood Ducks were usually seen.

It was nice to see Charlie with Jack, Terry with Bogie, Elsie and Ken with Blue, Frank and Corrie, Jenny and Bill, Leona and Warner, Alyson with Chesney, Penny, Ed, John LeFlock, the talented resident art teacher, Werner, Cathy with Tula, Twyla with Gunner, Liz and Gordon with Boomer during our walks.
