November 20th to 30th 2019

We enjoyed our usual walks at the Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve in Chilliwack, British Columbia, Canada.

We enjoyed seeing a Beaver one morning.

Red-winged Blackbirds were seen on a few days.

Buffleheads were seen on several days.

One of the resident Bald Eagles was seen near the Heronry.

A Peregrine Falcon flew into a tree in the distance.

Pied-billed Grebes with young were fishing.

Green-winged Teals were seen on several days.

Mallards and Northern Shovelers were seen near the Heronry.

Hooded Mergansers were seen on a couple of days.

Trumpeter Swans flew overhead quite often.

Ring-necked Ducks are here for the winter.

American Wigeons are here for the winter.

Wood Ducks were seen every day.

Great Blue Herons were seen in several spots on a few different days.

House Finches were near the Rotary Interpretive Centre feeders.

Black-capped Chickadees are residents and usually seen.

An American Goldfinch foraged in the grass.

Anna’s Hummingbirds were seen near the Rotary Interpretive Centre feeders.

A female Downy Woodpecker peeked at us.

A male Hairy Woodpecker was seen near the Rotary Interpretive Centre.

Steller’s Jays were seen in a few different locations.

Dark-eyed Juncos were seen pretty much everywhere.

Two White-throated Sparrows were foraging at the Rotary Interpretive Centre feeders.
