We enjoyed our usual walk at the Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve in Chilliwack, British Columbia, Canada.

A Beaver was seen in the water.
Red-winged Blackbirds were seen.
Black-capped Chickadees are resident and always seen.
A male Common Merganser was seen on the North Lagoon.
A male Greater Scaup stood near the entrance to the Salwein Creek.
Green-winged Teal were seen.
A male Hairy Woodpecker searched for food, stopping to preen occasionally.
Great Blue Herons searched for the perfect sticks to go into their nests.
A female Rufous Hummingbird was seen for a moment.
Mallards are usually seen.
The distant mountains are snow-covered.
Wood Ducks paddled past or rested on logs, while others checked out the nearest snags for nesting spots.
