April 2020

April 2nd to 4th 2020

We enjoyed our usual walks at the Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve in Chilliwack, British Columbia, Canada.

A nice sighting for the last three days, was a mature Double-crested Cormorant.

Several Canada Geese were seen, their constant bickering and squabbling managed to send the Double-crested Cormorant away.

A Beaver was seen every day.

Black-capped Chickadees are always seen somewhere during our walks.

A male Common Merganser was also seen.

Northwestern Crows were gathering nesting material.

The Heronry was quite active.

A Steller’s Jay was seen at the top of a young Cedar tree.

The mountains in the distance were snow-covered.

A large flock of American Wigeon flew past in the distance.

Wood Ducks were seen as usual.
