May 7th & 8th 2020

We enjoyed our usual walks at the Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve in Chilliwack, British Columbia, Canada.

We enjoyed watching two Beavers over the past two days.

A few Common Mergansers were seen.

Brown-headed Cowbirds were seen performing for their mates.

The Heronry Resident Bald Eagles have two chicks.

Northern Flickers were trading time on their nest site.

American Goldfinches were seen in a few spots.

A Red-tailed Hawk was seen one day.

A few Great Blue Herons are usually seen at this time of year.

A Canada Goose has been spending time near the Heronry.

A Lincoln’s Sparrow was seen one day.

American Robins were gathering food for nestlings.

A Turkey Vulture flew overhead.

Wood Ducks were seen as usual.

A male Common Yellowthroat was one of many seen.

We practiced social distancing from Charlie with Jack, Terry with Bogey, Deb, Dave, Tevia, Rhode, Wren and Arlo, William, Cathy with Tula, Melinda and Rob with Bosley, Rick, Alyson and Randy with Chesney, Leona and Werner, Penny, Rick during our walks.
