We enjoyed our usual walk at the Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve in Chilliwack, British Columbia, Canada.

We saw two Beavers today. A female Common Merganser seemed very interested in the Beaver’s grooming.

Black-capped Chickadees were seen in a few areas.

A female Northern Flicker poked its head out of its nest for awhile.

American Goldfinches were seen along the trail.

Great Blue Herons were gathering sticks left by Beavers.

Cottontail Rabbits were seen in many locations.

Wood Ducks were seen as usual at this time of year. A Canada Goose floated through the scene. The male Wood Ducks engaged in a courtship race while a female watched and encouraged more action.

A female Common Yellowthroat gathered nesting material while the male was seen guarding their territory nearby.

We practiced social distancing from Charlie with Jack, Terry with Bogie, Lisa, Twyla and Peter, Liz and Gordon with Boomer, Heinz with Maggie during our walk.
