July 6th to 9th 2013

We enjoyed our usual walks at the Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve.

A House Wren was seen near the corner of Sumas Prairie.

We enjoyed watching the young Great Blue Herons at the Heronry.

There were several Willow Flycatchers seen.

The resident Bald Eagle was sitting near its very large newly fledged chick.

The Ospreys are guarding and repairing their nest.

Two Peregrine Falcons were seen.

Song Sparrow fledglings were seen.

Wood Ducks walked along a fallen tree in the shade.

Common Yellowthroats were seen.

Belted Kingfishers were seen in several locations every day.

We enjoyed visiting with Val, Barb, Mair, Ritsu and Heidi in the Rotary Interpretive Center Gift Shop and jon, Mary, Penny, John and Dave on the trails.
