July 17, 2013

We enjoyed our walk at the Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve today as usual.

The resident Bald Eagle’s fledgling is getting very independent.

There were several Willow Flycatchers actively catching insects for their nestlings.

The Great Blue Herons were very busy at the Heronry.

Cottontail Rabbits were seen.

A Juvenile American Robin was seen in a Hawthorn Tree.

Fledgling Barn Swallows were seen waiting for adults to feed them.

Wood Ducks were seen along the edges of the water.

Quite a few Common Yellowthroats were heard singing as we wandered along.
