September, 2013

September 6th to 9th 2013

We enjoyed having visitors over the weekend and took them to some of our favourite areas.

When we drove to the Abbotsford Airport to meet their flight, we saw quite a few Savannah Sparrows in the farm fields.

Harrison Hot Springs had a lot of Savannah Sparrows along the side of the walkway around the lagoon.

We also found a few Vesper Sparrows there.

We have not identified this bird.

We were also surprised to find a Western Toad near a picnic table close to Harrison Lake.

At the Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve we saw a few White-crowned Sparrows and a Cottontail Rabbit.

We had nice chats with Christine, Don, Rod and Grace and waved to Cynthia at the Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve.
