September, 2013

September 15th to 18th 2013

It was rainy and dark during most of our last four walks at the Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve.

Black-throated Gray Warblers were seen bouncing through the shrubs.

Great Blue Herons were seen in a couple of spots.

Hooded Mergansers were seen in a couple of areas.

A Pacific Wren posed in a dark spot one morning.

Savannah Sparrows are migrating through our area in large numbers at the moment.

A Yellow-rumped Warbler was seen for a few seconds.

Wood Ducks were seen in several spots.

White-crowned Sparrows were also seen.

We enjoyed chatting with Bill, Jenny, Janet and Jean on the trails.
