We had our usual walk at the Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve in Chilliwack, British Columbia, Canada.

Common Yellowthroats were seen in many areas.

Wood Ducks were seen in many areas, some females had a lot of ducklings.

Cedar Waxwings were seen in many areas.

A few Turkey Vultures flew overhead.

A Painted Turtle was seen on the path near the Rotary Interpretive Centre.

The Heronry was very active, the chicks are growing quickly.

Lupines and Wild Iris are blooming.

One of the resident Bald Eagles flew overhead while a juvenile perched nearby.

Bullfrogs and Green Frogs were seen in shallow water.

Yellow Warblers were seen near the Main Bridge.

An Anna’s Hummingbird perched and stretched on a small dead stick at the Lickman Dike Road.

Lupines were growing along the fence lines.

There were many Savannah Sparrows gathering food for nestlings.

We enjoyed talking to Charlie with Jack, Terry with Bogey, Helmi, Neal, Jill and Rachel with Manny, Bill and Tom, Penny, as well as Cathy with Tula on the trails.
