We had our usual walk at the Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve in Chilliwack, British Columbia, Canada.
Red-winged Blackbirds can usually be seen at this time of year.
Great Blue Herons were gathering food for hungry chicks.
Cedar Waxwings were seen in large flocks

Wood Ducks and ducklings were seen.
Common Yellowthroats were seen in good numbers.
American Robins were gathering food for nestlings at the Lickman Dike Road.
White-crowned Sparrows sang on fence posts.
Savannah Sparrows perched on fence posts.
The Lupines growing along the fence lines are very pretty
On the way home, we stopped to take photos of a large flock of Band-tailed Pigeons.

We enjoyed talking to Charlie with Jack, Terry with Bogey, as well as Barb and Jeff with Flash and Teal on the trails.
