August 6th & 7th 2017

We enjoyed our usual walks at the Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve in Chilliwack, British Columbia, Canada.

The sunrises have been incredible lately with the fog and smoke.

Fall Asters are starting to bloom.

Beavers were seen both days.

A few Black-throated Gray Warblers were seen.

Black-headed Grosbeaks were seen.

Our sightings of Northwestern Crows are increasing in numbers.

Great Blue Herons were seen as usual.

An American Kestrel was seen in the distance.

The Osprey family is doing well.

A few Tree Swallows were seen.

Quite a few Red-eyed Vireos were seen in several areas.

Juvenile and adult Cedar Waxwings were seen.

A few Willow Flycatchers nest at the Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve.

Wood Ducks are usually seen.

A Yellow Warbler was seen in the distance.

A few Bullock’s Orioles were seen in several areas.

It was nice to see Charlie with Jack, Terry with Bogey, Cathy with Tula, Tanya, Sharon, as well as Christa and Jeff on the trails.
