We enjoyed our usual walk at the Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve in Chilliwack, British Columbia, Canada.
One of last year’s young Beavers was enjoying a snack while a two year old Beaver was busy building its new lodge. People who study Beavers have noted that if the population gets too large, there will be less Beavers born until the population stabilizes.

A male Red-winged Blackbird was busy lifting leaves of Water Lilies to find insects underneath.
Black-capped Chickadees were seen in many areas.
Female Common Mergansers were near the Heronry.
Female Mallards were taking ducklings on excursions.

Adult American Robins and a few immature American Robins were seen together.
Tree Swallows were seen along the way.
Adult Wood Ducks and duckling were seen in a few areas.
Common Yellowthroats were seen as well.

We practiced social distancing from Charlie with Jack, Liz and Gordon with Boomer during our walk.
