We enjoyed our usual walks at the Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve in Chilliwack, British Columbia, Canada.
The female Common Merganser and her six ducklings were resting on the log, on the far side of the North Lagoon across from the Rotary Interpretive Centre. We were delighted to have her bring them across the Lagoon close to us again. The first time was on the 13th. The little ones had to rush to catch up to her. They were such a treat. We left them to fish near the shoreline in peace.
