October 3rd to 5th 2020
We enjoyed our usual walks at the Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve in Chilliwack, British Columbia, Canada.
We were lucky to see a Beaver during a couple of walks.
Golden-crowned Sparrows were seen along the trails.
An Anna’s Hummingbird paused for a moment on a small branch.
Mallards were seen in large numbers.
Northern Pintails and many Canada Geese were seen.
Northern Shovelers were also seen.
Two Wilson’s Snipes flew into the marshy area past the Heronry.
Song Sparrows are usually seen.
Green-winged Teal are now being seen.
American Wigeon are a winter resident.
Wood Ducks are a permanent resident.
A few Yellow-rumped Warblers were seen in the distance.

We practiced social distancing from Charlie with Jack, Terry with Bogey, Alyson and Randy with Chesney, Werner, Katie and Doug from Greendale Herb and Vine, Mary Anne with Lula, Christa, Melinda and Rob with Bosley, Barbara and Jack with Mocha and Jock, Natalie and Lorraine with Rogue, Ulla and Sue during our walks.
