February 2021

February 15th to 17th 2021

We enjoyed our usual walks at the Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve in Chilliwack, British Columbia, Canada.

Click below to play a few clips from February 17th.

The slough in front of the Heronry is frozen solid. One Coyote lounged and slept in the grass on the shore. Another Coyote howled and barked while standing in the center of the frozen slough.

A few Herons were seen in the distance.

American Coots are liked by American Wigeons because they dive for food and bring treats up to the surface for everyone.

American Robins added a bright note to the days.

Song Sparrows were seen singing.

Anna’s Hummingbirds were seen at the Rotary Interpretive Centre feeders.
