August 8th to 14th 2021

We enjoyed our usual walks at the Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve in Chilliwack, British Columbia, Canada.

We always enjoy seeing Beavers.

A Black-throated Gray Warbler was migrating south.

Black-capped Chickadees are usually seen.

A Downy Woodpecker was seen near the Rotary Interpretive Centre.

A Northern Flicker was seen in the distance.

Willow Flycatchers were seen as usual.

It was nice to see Canada Geese in the slough.

A Great Blue Heron was fishing in the entrance to the Salwein Creek.

A Mink wandered along a long on the opposite side of the slough.

A young White-crowned Sparrow stopped on a branch for a moment.

Wood Ducks were seen as usual.

A Muskrat paddled along the slough.

Cedar Waxwings were seen in a few areas.

A young Spotted Towhee peeked at us.

A young Common Yellowthroat paused on Tansy flowers.

We practiced social distancing from Charlie with Jack, Terry with Bogey, Alyson and Randy with Chesney and Murphy, Beverly and Craig with Mogli and Sampson, Ron with Ginny, Catherine with Alfie, Andrea, Lisa, Leona and Werner, Denise with Summer, Ron with Ginny, Kassa and Abby, Jody and Barry, Christa, Alyson and Randy with Chesney, Maryanne with Lula, Tina with Disney and "Pork and Beans" during our walks.
