February 17th & 18th 2022

We enjoyed our usual walks at the Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve in Chilliwack, British Columbia, Canada.

We saw a Beaver one morning.

One of the resident Bald Eagles flew overhead.

A female Purple Finch was seen.

A Great Blue Heron was near the trail.

A male and female Hooded Merganser spent time together.

Mallards were seen as usual.

Green-winged Teal were seen in many areas.

A River Otter surprised us in the marsh at the Salwein Creek.

A little Muskrat was nearby.

American Robins were seen both days.

Scaups were seen in a few spots.

Wood Ducks were seen in many areas.

We practiced social distancing from Leona and Werner, Christa, Don, Charlie with Jack, Terry with Bogey, Darlene, Don, Janet and Hazel doing a bird count for the Great Blue Heron Nature Society during our walks.
